Shree Laxmi Narsinha Sugars has firmed up plans to set up a molasses/sugarcane juice-based distillery/ethanol unit with a capacity of 45 klpd at Amdapur in Parbhani district of Maharashtra. The company will also set up 20.5 MW co-generation power unit. The project will entail an investment of Rs 115.84 crore to be spread over 27.18 acre of land. The distillery unit will generate employment for 50-80 people during construction and 117 people during operation. Shree Laxmi Narsinha Sugars is awaiting environment clearance (EC).
